Cumming, GA — South Forsyth head softball coach Ronnie Davis steps down after 17 years at the helm. Coach Davis built the program into a perennial powerhouse in our region, reaching the 300 win mark in 2018 and reaching the state playoffs the past 7 consecutive seasons. But more than the records and play on the field, Coach Davis’ influence can be seen in the lives of the players who have gone on to succeed in college, in their careers, and in their relationships. We want to thank him for the investment he has made in the numerous lives he has touched.
Assistant Coach Leanne Brooks will be filling in as Interim Head Coach this summer until a replacement is named. Coach Baldwin and Coach Cantinella will continue assisting through the summer as well. The Booster Club will be busy transitioning with the coaches over the next few weeks, and we will follow up with announcements as the coaching search develops. The program is in a very good place for this transition, and we are excited to see what the next chapter of SoFo Softball will hold!
