Lady War Eagle Alum Leanne Brooks Moving Up: Head Softball Coach

Cumming, GA —

South Forsyth High School and our Athletic Department are excited to announce that Leanne Brooks, a Math teacher at SFHS, will begin the Fall as the next Head Softball Coach for the Lady War Eagles.

Leanne is a true War Eagle that bleeds Blue.  As a 2010 graduate of South Forsyth and four-year member of the Lady War Eagle Softball Program, she earned All-County Recognition three years and All-Region for two seasons.  This shows just a portion of the reason Coach Brooks has the heart, loyalty, dedication, and background needed to be the next leader of our Softball Program.  After graduation, she attended the University of West Georgia, but missed playing the game.  From there she transferred to Young Harris College and continued playing the game she is so passionate about at the catcher and shortstop positions.

While completing her final year of college in 2014, Leanne returned to South Forsyth to fill the Community Coach role on the Softball Staff, under Head Coach Ronnie Davis.  After receiving her degree from Young Harris, she was hired at South Forsyth High School as a Special Education and Mathematics teacher.  She has continued as an assistant on the softball staff, while also assisting with throwers on the Track Team in the spring.

Please help us welcome and show your support for Head Coach Leanne Brooks as she takes the helm of the Lady War Eagles Softball Team for 2019!
