The Lady War Eagles ended regulation tied at 2 with Woodstock. They both added another run in the 10th, but the Wolverines broke it open with 3 more in the top of the 11th inning. South could only respond with one of their own, losing 6-4 in the early game of a 4 game tournament at South. Katie Traynor pitched a complete 11 inning game, finishing with just 2 earned runs.
In the late game, Cherokee jumped out to a 7-1 lead early. South responded with 2 runs in the 5th and 6th. South scored 3 more in the 7th, topped off by a walk-off single from Senior Isabel Hui to right center that scored Allen and Chu. The Lady War Eagles win it 8-7 to improve to 5-4 on the year heading into region play Monday night.
