South bounces back from losses to North, Varsity blanks Lambert 4-0 and JV runs away with a 12-1 win

Early Region play has been rocky for the Lady War Eagles, losing close affairs with Lambert, Milton, and Forsyth Central before run ruling West Forsyth 11-2. On Tuesday, we didn’t have an answer for North Forsyth’s offense, and dropped that game 14-6 in 6 innings.

Thursday night, though, all phases of the game came together beginning with 2 singles and a 2 RBI double by Isabel Hui to lead off the first inning. From there, Hannah Marchman took over and dominated the circle for 7 innings, pitching a complete game shutout, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk while adding 2 strikeouts of her own. The defense was flawless and the offense led the way with 10 singles, 1 double and 3 walks.

The JV team was equally as impressive, taking the momentum from the Varsity game and turning the second game into a hit fest, running their record to 3-5 with run rule wins against Forsyth Central and Lambert. The future of South Forsyth Softball is bright with this stack of young talent! Way to go ladies!
